The Roman theatre museum, a unique place in Portugal, remains one of the most important places in Olisipo, the Roman name for Lisbon.
t was built in the era of the Emperor Augustus, it was renovated under Nero in 57 AD on one of the hills of the Tagus. It could seat between 3000 and 5000 people.
