Casa dos Bicos
This unusual building dates back to the XVIth century and belonged to Afonso de Albuquerque, the son of a renowned Indian Caravel captain. It stands out with its facade overlooking the Tagus carved with diamond shaped spikes. The Italian and manueline styles mix perfectly.
The Casa dos Bicos (house of the spikes) was terribly damaged during the 1755 earthquake and the two stories of the building were rebuilt in 1981.
